Over the last few years AI has rapidly emerged as the primary driver and enabler of business transformations and innovation. As we enter 2025, we see organizations embracing "Agentic AI" and rapidly developing and deploying a wide range of AI agents to address internal business challenges, increase competitiveness and to enable them to deliver new and more innovative products and services to their customers. But what exactly is Agentic AI, and why is it becoming rapidly becoming so important?

What is Agentic AI?

Agentic AI is the collective term for AI Agent. Agentic AI refers to autonomous AI systems designed to act with intentionality, self-direction, and adaptability. Unlike conventional AI, which primarily executes tasks based on fixed algorithms or human-defined parameters, Agentic AI exhibits a higher degree of independence and decision-making capability. This distinction lies in its ability to proactively set goals, navigate complex environments, and adapt dynamically to achieve outcomes, offering a level of functionality that goes beyond simple automation.
Key characteristics of Agentic AI include:
1. Autonomy: The ability to function independently without requiring explicit instructions for every decision.
