Nada Stankovic
Location: Canberra, Australia
Starting Role: Level 2 Voice Service Desk
Current Role: Account Director
How did you start your career with Fujitsu?
I started in a Level 2 Voice Service Desk role at Fujitsu, before later moving into a Knowledge Analyst role under the IT Service Management team. From there, I won my first Team Leader role and gradually progressed through different Management roles before landing my current Account Director position. I am currently in the Sales and Customer Service Management team, as an Account Director, looking after our National Security portfolio of accounts.
What do you like about working at Fujitsu?
I have always felt at home at Fujitsu due to its culture and people. I have been lucky to work with excellent teams supported by great managers who ensured I was always empowered and enabled to obtain new skills and progress my career within the organisation.
What is your proudest achievement at Fujitsu?
It is difficult to single out one achievement – but I am proud of presenting successfully for an Service Delivery Manager role, which is a Level 4 Customer Service Delivery, position not long after commencing my career in Sales and Customer Service Management. I am also proud of all the relationships I have established over time both internally with my colleagues at Fujitsu and externally with my customers.
What advice would you give your younger self?
Work hard, always demonstrate accountability and ensure that you are reliable and focused on your role. Set goals and don’t be afraid to aim high.
Shaun Crous
Location: Wellington, New Zealand
Starting Role: Service Desk Analyst
Current Role: Service Desk Manager
How did you start your career with Fujitsu?
Almost every year my role at Fujitsu has changed. I started in a Service Desk Analyst role at Fujitsu and have worked my way up into my current position as Service Desk Manager. I have been offered so many career opportunities, assignments and projects so I could grow as a person and professionally.
What do you like about working at Fujitsu?
The company is huge, spanning across many countries, which creates so many different career paths for you. If you want, you can pursue a career on the other side of the globe with Fujitsu.
What is your proudest achievement at Fujitsu?
I was offered the opportunity to travel to the Philippines and work with our Service Desk team in Manila to uplift the services they deliver. The assignment was a success and I met so many fantastic people and made lifelong friends when I was in the Philippines.
What advice would you give your younger self?
Always work hard, keep your head down, learn as much as you can within your current role. Try to spend no longer than a year and a half in it and then move on with the next step in your career.
Find out early on what makes you passionate. As long as you are passionate about what you do, you will enjoy your work and you will do very well. Finding a job you are passionate about is one of the easiest luxuries you can afford yourself in life.
Jacob McLeish
Location: Canberra, Australia
Starting Role: Service Desk Analyst
Current Role: Service Delivery Manager
How did you start your career with Fujitsu?
My career at Fujitsu has progressed very quickly. I started in a Service Desk Analyst role at Fujitsu. This was my first full-time job, and at the time I had very, very minimal ICT experience. From there, I have learnt and gained an incredible amount of knowledge within my 5 years at Fujitsu.
One of my proudest moments to date has been reaching my goals within my five-year plan, which included the promotion into my current position as a Service Delivery Manager 6 months ahead of my timeline.
What do you like about working at Fujitsu?
I work with amazing colleagues and people I can now call friends. I am fortunate to have been provided with many great opportunities, coaches and mentors that have guided me throughout my time at Fujitsu. Working for Fujitsu has shown me that the traditional way of building a career is not the only way, you can be young and early in your career and still be successful!
What advice would you give your younger self?
Don’t listen to those (including yourself) who tell you to be patient and that it’s not possible. LISTEN to those who tell you it IS possible and believe them!
Your career is yours and yours only, take it into your own hands because nobody will hand you your career… you need to work for it!
