Each year we recruit a large number of outstanding graduates for our in-demand Graduate Program to inject new ideas, innovative thinking and positive energy into Fujitsu.
Graduate Program Details
Graduate employees start with us in early February 2019.
Each new employee is paired up with a buddy and a mentor from within the business to help with a smooth transition into life at Fujitsu. We provide the right kinds of tools and training to ensure all our graduates can achieve career success through mentoring, peer support, professional development module training and e-learning.

What skills do you believe a Graduate might need to be successful in the program?
As a graduate, you should be proactive, a strong communicator, customer focused and most importantly have a willingness to learn and say yes to any and every opportunity.
What were some of your day to day tasks within the grad program?
Throughout my year, I supported the sales team by doing research on customers, competitors and the market and by working on opportunities in a bid/proposal management capacity. I was also invited to attend some customer meetings where possible.
Words of advice to potential graduates looking to apply…
It isn’t about where you came from or what you studied, as long as you have a genuine interest for the role and you show your potential you will be successful. Have faith in your ability and bring your best selves to everything you do.
What was the biggest challenge you faced in the program?
The biggest hurdle for me was making the initial move to introduce myself to people around the office and key people in the business. I learnt quickly that you have to get out of your comfort zone because it’s amazing what you will get out of it when you do!
What was the coolest experience you had within the Graduate Program?
Within a few months of starting, I travelled to New Zealand to attend an internal conference. I also had the opportunity to represent Fujitsu and the graduate program at various universities in Victoria. On a personal level, being able to connect with a graduate cohort who you could swap experiences with and get support from was invaluable to me.

Words of advice to potential graduates looking to apply…
I finished my university degree (Commerce) and never thought I would pursue a career in IT – take a risk, you never know where it will lead you! Fujitsu has opened my eyes to the world of corporate business – I’ve learnt so much about the organisation, and how to work with different people of various backgrounds. With the correct attitude, maturity and passion, you will do well regardless of whether you have a background in IT or not!
What was the biggest challenge you faced in the program?
Introducing myself to people in the business who had very demanding roles (you don’t want to seem like a burden), managing expectations and dealing with different personalities.
What was the coolest experience you had within the Graduate Program?
I’ve been lucky enough to travel interstate to attend one of our major events, as well as work with our corporate charity partners, Camp Quality & Soldier On and attend some great events such as concerts and musicals with them – being able to make a difference to the community and meet people within the community who are touched by our organisation is very special and humbling.
